About

Dogs are the best!

Meet my lovable goldendoodle, Murphy.

I didn’t know how much I needed him until he came into my life. I love my dog! He makes sure I take time to play and have fun.

If you have a dog, I’ll bet you love him, too.

Maybe you tell him everything, he gives you unconditional love, and you believe he’s your best friend?

Wait. When did this happen?

When did you start turning to your dog to meet your needs – instead of those people who once lit up your world?

When did it stop feeling safe to confide in your partner?

Your dog may be a great companion, but does he really need all the attention you give him?

Or is it your partner – or you – who needs more attention and affection?

It’s been my privilege to help couples figure out the answers to these and similar questions over the past 20 years.

I’m dedicated to the research-based practices created by Drs. Julie and John Gottman and can’t wait to show you how to use them to improve your relationship.

My goal is to support you in cultivating the courage to tell each other your deepest dreams and desires, so you can enjoy a lifetime of connection.

I will do my absolute best to help you feel safe, seen, and heard.

My wish for you…

Wow! So, Murphy and I are jogging together on this beautiful October day in Springfield.

I love how the sun helps me feel exuberant – how jogging clears my mind. It’s my best time to think.

I’ve been thinking about what I want to say to you.

I want you to know just how much you mean to me.

You’re my inspiration – the reason I get up and go to work each morning. Without you, I’d be lost.

Working with couples gives me the focus and direction I need to keep striving to do my best.

Therapy with me will involve holding up the mirror and looking deeper than what you see on the outside.

My calm nature makes it easy to stay fully present with you while you work on knowing yourself and letting yourself be known.
I try to be mindful of how I’m treating people, and my goal is always to treat you and your life stories with respect.

And I’d love to help you do your best.

When I’m not in my office helping you live your best life, you’ll find me reading and listening to podcasts about improving relationships; jogging with Murphy; or hitting the mat to do yoga.

I love to rock out at an arena concert to rock, pop rap, pop, and alternative. There’s always awesome fireworks at these shows!

Luckily, my husband and I are both from Springfield, so we get to spend time with each of our families.

It’s such a lonely place.

Maybe it’s time to give up old, worn-out patterns and try something new.

Even if your marriage hasn’t reached these depths of despair, you can benefit from marriage counseling, as well.

Whether you’re just starting out on your couples journey or you need a tune-up, I’m here for you.

I have so much hope for you and your marriage.

I’ve helped many couples bring back their spark. Let’s rekindle the fun, friendship, love, sex, and happiness you desire.

Boom!

Let’s light it up! Let’s make the most of your relationship.
