Alone Together… or Together – Alone?

The quintessential date night:  dinner and a movie.

Romantic restaurant:  a sensual feast. Slow jazz, ambient lighting, tempting aphrodisiacs, the perfect beverage to complement the cuisine – and the conversation.

Except that there isn’t any. Conversation, that is.

The atmosphere is perfect, but there’s nothing to say. So, you eat in silence, hoping that things will improve as the evening continues.

An hour later, at the movies, there you sit, silently weeping in the dark. You’re sitting right next to your partner, yet you’ve never felt further apart.

One ticket to fantasyland. Please.

You want to be swept away.

You wish you were one of the characters in the movie – longing for the chemistry you see between the couple on-screen – that magnetic force that can’t keep them away from each other – the smell and feel of your partner that brought you together in the first place.

You dream of being able to put your feelings into words – of giving voice to your deepest feelings to a loving, understanding partner – instead of bearing the heavy weight of your problems in silence, because you don’t want to make a fuss.

You yearn to resolve problems, so you can get back in touch with your feelings – it may seem as though you’ve been avoiding things for so long that you don’t even really know how you feel.

How wonderful it would be to overcome those things that are holding you back!

All of this may seem like a fantasy, but it’s NOT.

Get excited. It’s time!

To connect to yourself in new ways!

To unload that heavy weight from your shoulders!

To turn toward yourself with kindness!

To be your own best friend –

So you can be a friend to your partner and to all the other important people in your life. People heal people, and your connections are crucial to helping you grow stronger.

Live with no apologies.

And it all starts here.

You know, it always surprises me when people come to my office and apologize for their stories. We all have stories… stories of deep anguish, fear, anger, and unhappiness.

Here, you don’t have to apologize for your story – or your tears. There’s no need.

I genuinely want to hear what you have to say.

I’m here for you – you can feel safe confiding in me.

And I’m not afraid of your overwhelming feelings.

You’re invited!

I warmly invite you to come in, be yourself, and share your world with me.

Together, we’ll look at what you struggle with the most – and use that insight to make changes for the better.

You’ll never be alone.

I’ll be here right by your side – every step of the way – as we work to bring joy back into your life.

It’s your move.

Life really feels worth living when you shape your dreams into your new reality.

Fantasyland doesn’t have to stay that way – it can be much, much more.

Let’s put your dreams front and center and start making them come true!
